Hillbill's Diesel is located on Hwy.91 in the North Central Nebraska community of Spalding. In January 1975, Mark & Sharon Carraher purchased the Allis Chalmers business from Walt & Bernadine Gorny. In 1978 we remodeled the building to accommodate a factory authorized, fully franchised diesel fuel injection pump department for AMBAC, Delphi, Nippondenso, Robert Bosch, Stanadyne and Zexel. Having outgrown that building downtown, in 1981 land was purchased and leveled along Hwy. 91 and a new building was erected. We have since added on to that building three times to make room for a full line of AGCO farm equipment, Caterpillar, Isuzu, Deutz and Sisu irrigation engines; a radiator repair shop; a larger area for the diesel pump diagnostics and test/recalibration benches; a Carquest auto parts store, and Arctic Cat ATVs & Snowmobiles.
Our building also houses 16,000 sq. ft. of shop/service area where our mechanics repair all makes of farm equipment and vehicles. Mark & Sharon currently have 11 employees, which include all five of their sons, Jeff, Steve, Kurt, Randy & Colin.
